'Pub Rock'

When researching the target audience - the pub scene - I came across 'Pub Rock' which I believe our band has some elements of.
The rock music genre, 'Pub Rock', developed in the mid 1970', where bands would perform live in small local venues and pubs. Dress style of the band was based around denim and plaid shirts, tatty jeans and droopy hair. Most of the venues were in large Victorian pubs "north of Regents Park" where there were plenty of suitable pubs. One of the most notable venues was the Hope and Anchor pub on Islington's Upper Street, still a venue. These bands included Kilburn & The High Roads and Ducks Deluxe.
The 'Pub Rock' was taken over by the Punk scene later on in the 1970's - but I believe that this genre still has a big influence on bands today, especially local bands who enjoy performing in small, pub venues.
